Job summary

VML, part of the WPP network, is seeking a Growth Group Director to be a senior hands-on growth operator who moves live opportunities forward and shapes client narratives across ES capabilities. You will work with MDs, EDs, GCLs, agencies, client teams and delivery SMEs, not as a resource to be directed but as a skilled growth driver able to manage senior stakeholder conversations.

This role fits experienced operators with consulting, technology, agency, client services, and transformation

Qualifications

• 10–12+ years in strategic account management, growth, consulting or transformation.
• Experience leading client conversations, discovery, and pursuit acceleration.
• Ability to coordinate multiple capabilities across complex organisations.

Responsibilities

• Identify ES growth signals across priority accounts, WPP relationships and enterprise opportunities.
• Assess opportunity viability, value potential, urgency and next actions with stakeholders.
• Develop briefs, problem statements, discovery questions, value hypotheses and pursuit narratives.
• Support discovery meetings, workshops, pitch preparation and immediate follow-up actions.
• Clarify opportunity value, stage, next actions and risk, maintaining momentum.
