Job summary

Lanes Group plc is seeking a Training Operations & Competence Lead to drive a scalable, compliant training and competence function across the group. You will align governance, reporting and assurance with operational delivery to enhance workforce readiness and capability.

Collaborating with the Head of Learning and Development and senior leaders, you will develop framework-based training, lead technical trainers and optimise resource planning to support business growth and mobilisation.

Qualifications

Experience leading group-wide training and competence programmes.
Ability to translate standards into day-to-day training delivery.
Strong governance, reporting and audit readiness capabilities.

Responsibilities

Lead the Group-wide Training and Competence operating model.
Develop role-based competence frameworks, skills matrices and training needs analyses.
Define consistent approaches to competence assessment, verification and sign-off.
Support workforce planning, mobilisation and future capability requirements.
Provide leadership and development for Training and Competence staff.
Manage stakeholder relationships with senior operations, HSEQ and clients.
Define operational reporting needs for training delivery, competence and risk.
