Benefact Group in Gloucester is seeking a Group Payments Assistant to join our Gloucester office on a 9-month FTC. You will deliver accurate, timely payments for the group, handling BACS, cheques and overseas payments while ensuring FCA-aligned processes.

The role is 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with hybrid working. Join a charity-focused financial services group that supports hundreds of businesses and employees.

Qualifications

• Must be highly organised with ability to manage multiple streams of work within defined timelines.
• Confident in the use of multiple payment systems.
• Detailed understanding of different payment methods.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles – debits and credits, cash and revenue, inflows and outflows.

Responsabilités

• Process all payments received via all methods into core systems within SLAs.
• Process invoices against approved purchase/service orders in accounting system.
• Process refunds and take-away payments to meet SLAs and FCA guidelines.
• Produce payment runs (BACS/cheques) and set up electronic payments including overseas/urgent payments.
• Prepare reconciliations of key operational bank accounts and related ledgers.
