Qualifications

• Capacité à diriger une équipe et à communiquer efficacement.

Responsibilities

• Gérer les activités de crédit à travers toutes les entreprises du groupe.

Job description

An exciting opportunity for a Group Credit Manager has become available at our Head Office. This challenging yet rewarding role involves leading Credit Control for our group of companies, reporting to the Finance Director. The role includes overseeing credit activities such as managing risk, developing credit policies, and leading the team. This is an office-based position at our Head Office in Shirley, near the M42.

The successful candidate will:

• Have prior experience in a busy credit control environment,
• Possess strong financial understanding,
• Be capable of problem-solving,
• Be confident in leading a team,
• Be self-motivated and driven,
• Have excellent communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the success of the credit function.

Key responsibilities include:

• Act as the primary contact with Credit Insurers, monitor insured limits, submit claims, and assist with renewal negotiations,
• Lead monthly meetings with senior management,
• Provide management reports on bad debts, debtor days, collections, and other ad-hoc reports,
• Manage cash collection across all Group companies,
• Ensure departmental systems and protocols are effective and enforced,
• Oversee the Credit Control team and manage their activities proactively,
• Handle credit applications and provision of PODs,
• Make major or sensitive credit decisions,
• Control credit limits and pursue claims through litigation or insolvency proceedings,
• Set and manage credit policies and credit notes,
• Conduct risk assessments on existing and new credit applicants,
• Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across departments,
• Review sales Terms and Conditions prior to approval,
• Visit customers and company sites as needed.
