Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking a Grounds Support in Buxton. The role involves outdoor grounds maintenance, grass and hedge cutting, litter picking, and winter services such as gritting and snow clearance. A full UK driving licence is preferred for vehicle roles.

You will operate hand tools and horticultural machinery, report hazards, and follow safety procedures. Excellent outdoor work ethic and adaptability are essential for this permanent, full-time position.

Job Title: Grounds support Salary: £5,315 per annum Position Type: Permanent Employment Type: Full time Total Weekly Contractual Hours: 08 hours Shift Pattern: Monday and Thursday 4 hours for each shift. Location: HSE Buxton, Harpur Hill, Buxton, Derbyshire, England, SK17 9JN

Role Responsibilities

• Deliver winter services including gritting, snow clearance, and Christmas tree installation
• Report site hazards and relevant information to management

What We're Looking For

• Passion for working outdoors in agile and flexible environments
• Good understanding of smartphone technology
• Grounds maintenance experience is desirable but not essential
• PAI & PA6 spraying license is a plus
• Full UK driving license preferred for roles involving company vehicles.
