Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services, Derbyshire, is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative. This full-time, permanent role offers 40 hours per week with a pay rate of £13.45 per hour.

You will cutting grass, hedges and borders, clearing leaves, and performing winter services such as gritting. A Full UK driving licence is preferred for vehicle roles, and smartphone literacy is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Passion for working outdoors and adapting to flexible environments.
• Good understanding of smartphone technology and apps.
• Grounds maintenance experience is desirable but not essential.
• PAI & PA6 spraying license is a plus for the role.
• Full UK driving license is preferred for vehicles-based roles.

Role Responsibilities

• Carry out grass and hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearing, spraying, and litter picking
• Operate hand tools and powered horticultural machinery safely and effectively
• Deliver winter services including gritting, snow clearance, and Christmas tree installation
• Report site hazards and relevant information to management
• Follow health and safety procedures and undertake additional training as required
