Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services in Birkenhead, Wirral, Merseyside is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative on a permanent part-time basis to service 30 substations daily and cover Wirral and Chester. You’ll work outdoors, with training available and a requirement for a full UK driving license for some postings.

Qualifications

• Passion for working outdoors in agile and flexible environments.
• Good understanding of smartphone technology.
• Grounds maintenance experience is desirable but not essential.
• PAI & PA6 spraying license is a plus.
• Full UK driving license preferred for roles involving company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Working on SPEN Contract, servicing 30 substations daily around Wirral and Chester.
• Carry out grass and hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearing, spraying, and litter picking.
• Operate hand tools and powered horticultural machinery safely and effectively.
• Deliver winter services including gritting, snow clearance, and Christmas tree installation.
• Report site hazards and relevant information to management.
• Follow health and safety procedures and undertake additional training as required.

Rate of pay: £13.80 per hour

Total Weekly Contractual Hours: 40 hours

Location: Birkenhead, Birkenhead, Merseyside, England, CH41 9BU

Important : Full UK driving license

Role Responsibilities
