Job summary

Mitie Group plc is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative to maintain outdoor spaces at Sabic Petrochemicals, Wilton, Redcar, North Yorkshire. The role is permanent and full-time, with a 40-hour week and an hourly rate of £14.00.

You will perform grass and hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearing, and winter services. A full UK driving licence is preferred for vehicle roles, and a PA1/PA6 spraying license is a plus.

Qualifications

• Outdoor role requiring physical work.
• Good working knowledge of smartphone technology.
• Grounds maintenance experience is desirable but not essential.
• PAI/PA6 spraying license is a plus.
• Full UK driving licence preferred for roles with company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Carry out grass and hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearing, spraying, and litter picking.
• Operate hand tools and powered horticultural machinery safely and effectively.
• Deliver winter services including gritting, snow clearance, and Christmas tree installation.
• Report site hazards and relevant information to management.
• Follow health and safety procedures and undertake additional training as required.

We're looking for a Grounds Maintenance Operative who will deliver excellent service standards, while meeting SLA agreements and maintaining outdoor spaces to the highest quality.
Hourly Rate of Pay: £14.00
