Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Gritting Operative to deliver high service standards while maintaining outdoor spaces to a top quality. The role is based at Bala, Wales with a fixed term contract and full-time employment, though the weekly hours are described as zero hours in the posting.

You will perform grass cutting, hedge maintenance, leaf clearing, and winter grit duties, reporting hazards and following safety procedures. Driving license is preferred for vehicle roles.

Qualifications

• Passion for working outdoors in flexible environments.
• Good understanding of smartphone technology.
• Grounds maintenance experience is desirable but not essential.
• PAI and PA6 spraying license is a plus.
• Full UK driving license preferred for vehicle roles.

Responsibilities

• Carry out grass and hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearing, spraying, and litter picking
• Operate hand tools and powered horticultural machinery safely and effectively
• Deliver winter services including gritting, snow clearance, and Christmas tree installation
• Report site hazards and relevant information to management
• Follow health and safety procedures and undertake additional training as required

Hourly Rate of Pay: £26.00
Position Type: Fixed Term Contract

Total Weekly Contractual Hours: Zero hours
Location: Co Op, 78-86 Stryd Fawr, Bala, Denbighshire, Wales LL23 7AD
Requirements : Full UK Driving Licence
