Job summary

Mitie Landscapes is looking for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to perform grass cutting, hedge care, border maintenance, leaf clearance and litter picking across West Midlands sites. You will also support winter gritting and snow clearance while reporting hazards to management.

Ideal candidates hold PA1/PA6 spraying licences and a full driving licence, and are comfortable working outdoors in a flexible environment with 40 hours per week. This is a permanent, full-time role.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds maintenance and gritting.
• PA1 and PA6 spraying licences are required.
• Full driving licence is required.
• Prepared to work outdoors and in flexible, winter conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining site grounds: grass cutting, hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearance, litter picking, spraying.
• Delivering winter services: gritting and snow clearance.
• Report hazards and provide information to management.
• Operate vehicles and equipment safely according to Health & Safety procedures.
• Undertake trainings as required.

Mitie Landscapes has an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team at the UKs market leading FM company. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will be delivering Grounds Maintenance and Winter Services and ensuring you deliver the exceptional every day.
Rate of Pay: £13.45 per hour
Position Type: Permanent
Type of Employment: Full Time
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Wolverhampton, Willenhall, Bridgenorth, West Midlands, England WV1 1AA

You Will Be Responsible For

GMO

• Maintaining our clients' sites. Grass cutting, hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearance, litter picking, and spraying.
• Delivering our winter services, including gritting and snow clearance.
• Providing management with relevant information and reporting as required, including reporting any site hazards.
• Operating all vehicles, machinery and equipment in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.
• Undertaking training as and when required.

Gritting

• Gritting various sites within your regional area
• Driving a company vehicle with a gritting hopper
• Filling your van with rock salt to distribute
• Completing your duties in a safe and timely manner
