Job summary

Mitie Landscapes in Oxford is seeking a Grounds Maintenance and Gritting Operative to join our team at the UK's market leading FM company. You will deliver grass cutting, hedge maintenance, winter grit and snow clearance, and report hazards while operating vehicles safely.

You will hold PA1/PA6 spraying licences and a full driving licence, with a passion for working outdoors and a flexible approach to seasonal winter duties.

• Experience in Grounds Maintenance and Gritting.
• PA1/PA6 spraying licences.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clients' sites: grass cutting, hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearance, litter picking.
• Deliver winter services: gritting and snow clearance.
• Report site hazards to management with relevant information.
• Operate vehicles, machinery and equipment per Health & Safety procedures.
• Undertake training as required.

Mitie Landscapes has an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Maintenance/ Gritting Operative to join our team at the UKs market leading FM company. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will be delivering Grounds Maintenance and Winter Services and ensuring you deliver the exceptional every day.

Rate of Pay: £13.45 per hour

Position Type: Permanent

Type of Employment: Full Time

Hours: 40 hours per week

Location: Oxford, Oxfordshire, England OX1 1HS

You Will Be Responsible For

GMO

• Maintaining our clients' sites. Grass cutting, hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearance, litter picking, and spraying.
• Delivering our winter services, including gritting and snow clearance.
• Providing management with relevant information and reporting as required, including reporting any site hazards.
• Operating all vehicles, machinery and equipment in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.
• Undertaking training as and when required.

Gritting

• Gritting various sites within your regional area
• Driving a company vehicle with a gritting hopper
• Filling your van with rock salt to distribute
• Completing your duties in a safe and timely manner

• Prepared to work in an agile and flexible working environment (Winter working).
• A good understanding of smartphone technology.
• Grounds Maintenance and Gritting experience
• PA1 & PA6 spraying licence,
• Full driving licence
