Job summary

Russell's (Kirbymoorside) Ltd in Harby is seeking a Permanent Groundcare Parts Sales Advisor to join the team at the Harby Depot. You will help customers identify and obtain the right parts, delivering accurate, responsive service in a fast-paced environment.

The role involves providing excellent customer care, sourcing and supplying parts, handling inquiries by phone, in person and by email, and supporting stock management with a strong IT capability. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Provide excellent customer care.
• Identify, source, order and supply a wide range of groundcare and related parts accurately and professionally.
• Respond to customers’ time-critical requirements.
• Deal with customers, suppliers and internal staff in person, on the phone and via email.
• Proactively contact customers with offers and incentives to increase parts sales in line with company targets.
• Have confident IT skills to use internal and external computer systems.
• Assist in routine inventory management, stock ordering and housekeeping.
• Check parts are received from suppliers in good condition and to the quantities ordered.
• Have a good knowledge of modern Groundcare machinery and practices.
• Hold a full UK driving licence; telehandler or forklift licence advantageous.

Working with leading manufacturers of professional Groundcare machinery, you will help customers identify and obtain the right parts while delivering accurate, responsive service in a fast-paced environment.

About you:

• Friendly, reliable and confident, with a professional outlook and a self‑motivated approach. You will be focused on completing work to a high standard, supporting the team and delivering excellent service for customers.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to deal sensitively and diplomatically with customers and colleagues.
• Confident PC user with good Word, Excel, Outlook skills.
• Previous experience with Ibcos Gold (or similar dealer management software) preferred.
• Can remain calm under pressure while meeting deadlines.
• Strong analytical & numerical and problem solving skills.
• Disciplined person who can work autonomously or as part of a team.
• Good customer relation skills built from previous experience in a demanding customer‑facing role.
• Full UK driving license required.
• Parts experience from any industry will be considered, although a background in groundcare, agriculture, plant machinery or commercial vehicles would be particularly relevant.
