Job summary

AECOM's Ground Engineering team in the UK is seeking a Technical Director / Associate Director to lead technical development, client relationships and project delivery across high-profile geotechnical projects. You will oversee data validation, provide strategic input on site selection and optioneering, and mentor staff while expanding the team's capability nationwide.

This senior role requires Chartered status, a civil engineering degree, and strong knowledge of UK ground conditions; relocation

Qualifications

Degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology, 2:1 or higher.
Chartered status is required or sought.
Strong knowledge of UK ground conditions and ground investigation practices.

Responsibilities

Oversee geotechnical data input, review and design calculations.
Provide consultative advice across project life cycle (site selection to construction).
Manage or oversee geotechnical projects; plan schedules and budgets.
Lead the Ground Engineering team and mentor junior staff.
Build and maintain client relationships to sustain opportunities.
Lead delivery of multi-disciplinary projects with other teams.
Collaborate with Transport, Water, Energy and Buildings teams on tenders.
