Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring groceries to customers’ doorsteps with a welcoming and reliable service. You will drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, perform safety checks, and ensure orders arrive on time and in excellent condition.

When not delivering, you may assist in-store tasks. This role emphasizes safety, customer care, and efficient route execution within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 and hold a full UK/EU driving licence for 12+ months with no more than 6 points.
• Must be eligible to work in the UK.
• Willingness to learn to use delivery technology and route planning tools.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Sainsbury’s delivering to customers’ doorsteps with friendly, helpful service.
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries on time and in good condition.
• Perform vehicle checks ensuring roadworthiness and cleanliness.
• Follow planned routes and drive safely in various conditions.
• Assist in-store tasks when not delivering.
