Job summary

Sainsbury's Limited is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring groceries and orders directly to customers’ doors with energy, warmth and care. You will drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, deliver on time, and ensure orders are handled safely and courteously.

Qualifications

• You must be over 18 and hold a full UK/EU driving licence for 12+ months with no more than 6 points.
• Online driving risk assessment during interview, plus driving assessment if successful.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• In-cab AI cameras monitor driver behaviour for safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Sainsbury’s at every doorstep you deliver to, delivering with warmth and care.
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries on time and in good condition.
• Carry out checks to ensure the van is roadworthy, clean and goods are secure before setting off.
• Follow planned routes and drive safely in varying locations and conditions.
• Move containers up to 15kg and deliver to various properties, including steps or lifts.
• Communicate with customers and keep them informed of delays or changes to orders.
• When not delivering, support store tasks as needed.
