Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to deliver groceries directly to customers' doors with care and reliability. You will drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, maintain vehicle readiness, and communicate proactively with customers about delays or changes to orders.

The role emphasizes friendliness, safety, and teamwork, with opportunities to help inside the store when not out delivering. A full UK/EU license held for at least 12 months is required.

Qualifications

• Friendly, welcoming personality with customer focus.
• Ability to drive a 3.5t refrigerated van safely.
• Capable of following planned routes and adapting to traffic.
• Physically able to move shopping containers up to 15kg.
• Able to use route and delivery technology and devices.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Sainsbury’s delivering orders to customers on time.
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van and ensure items reach customers in good condition.
• Carry out basic van checks for roadworthiness and cleanliness.
• Follow planned routes and drive safely in varied locations and weather.
• Assist store team when not out delivering.
