Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring orders directly to customers' doors with energy, warmth and care. You will drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van and ensure timely, high-quality deliveries, while maintaining vehicle safety and good customer relations.

Role involves physical delivery work, possible store assistance, and working in a fast-paced environment during festive periods. You’ll join a team focused on reliable, friendly service for online shopping customers.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 and hold a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Ability to lift up to 15kg and handle physical deliveries.
• Customer-focused doorstep service.
• Willing to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Sainsbury's at every doorstep you deliver to, creating a friendly and helpful delivery experience.
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries to customers on time and in good condition.
• Carry out checks to ensure the van is roadworthy and deliveries are secure before setting off.
• Follow planned routes and drive safely in various locations and conditions.
• Move containers up to 15kg and deliver to properties with steps, lifts, or longer walks from the van.
• Communicate clearly with customers about delays or changes to orders.
• When not delivering, assist across the store as needed.
