Job summary

Sainsbury’s Limited is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring groceries to customers’ doors with energy, warmth and care. You’ll be the face of Sainsbury’s at every doorstep, delivering orders on time in a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van and ensuring the vehicle is roadworthy and well organised.

This role involves flexible shifts during peak periods and may include aiding in-store tasks. A full UK driving licence and a customer-centric approach are essential to excel in this role.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer-facing skills and a friendly, helpful attitude.
• Valid UK/EU driving licence held for at least 12 months with up to 6 points.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced delivery environment with high-energy interactions.
• Willingness to complete online driving risk assessments and on-vehicle checks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver customer orders to doorstep efficiently and courteously.
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van and ensure on-time delivery in good condition.
• Perform routine vehicle checks and maintain cleanliness and organisation.
• Follow planned routes and adapt to traffic, weather, and road conditions.
• Assist in-store tasks when not out making deliveries.
• Keep customers informed of delays and respond to queries.
