Job summary

A leading renewable energy company is seeking a Contract Manager in Lowestoft for a secondment of 16 months, covering maternity leave. The successful candidate will ensure that deliverables for the Long Term Service Agreement (LTSA) are met and will manage routine contractual aspects. Applicants should have a relevant qualification in contract management or engineering, alongside strong communication and IT skills. This full-time role is critical to ensuring the efficient operation of projects, with support from the operations team and suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Become the onsite LTSA expert and first point of contact for contractual queries.
  • Create Monthly Reports and manage key contractual KPIs.
  • Lead monthly contract meetings with suppliers.
  • Support Operations Manager in their Primary Roles.
  • Provide input to the budget planning process.

Greater Gabbard Contract Manager Secondment

Functional area: Operations & Maintenance

We are looking for a Contract Manager to provide 16 months maternity leave cover to support RWE’s Greater Gabbard Windfarm in Lowestoft.

The Contract Manager’s purpose is to ensure the deliverables for the Long Term Service Agreement (LTSA) are met by the RWE Operations Team. Managing routine contractual aspects such as LTSA reports, Supplementary Services Requests, Invoicing & Requests for Information etc. Be the key contact for the customer in contractual queries and assist the operational team in managing operational support contractors.

About the role:

  • Become the onsite LTSA expert, becoming the first point of contact for the customer for contractual queries and provide advice and guidance to the RWE operations team in all contractual matters
  • Deliver key aspects of the LTSA contract such as:
    • Creating the Monthly Report
    • Managing key contractual KPI’s
    • Managing LTSA quarterly invoicing plus any supplementary service invoices
  • Support Operational Contract Management:
    • Ensure temporary resources are employed & onboarded in conjunction with RWE standards working with the ops team and procurement
    • Enact the role of contract officer for all operational contracts onsite, supporting the operations team
    • Lead monthly contract meetings with suppliers
    • Manage variations and tender activities as required with the ops team and procurement
  • Provide input to the budget planning process
  • Support Operations Manager & Shift Supervisors in completion of their Primary Roles

Job requirements and experience:

  • A suitable Contract, procurement, project management or engineering qualification &/OR Extensive background in Contract Management
  • Tender or Scope of Work writing skills
  • Advanced communication skills, including negotiation and settlement skills
  • Proficient at using IT systems
