You will be mainly based at our Maghera branch in Londonderry, however, you will also be required to work at our Fairhill and Dungiven sites. We are located in the countryside, but not far from city life, at the foot of the Sperrin Mountains and beautiful North Coast. 45‑minute travel to local airports and good bus connections to Belfast, Derry and the North Coast (45 min). We have plenty of sporting facilities including gyms, football, rugby, and hockey nearby, and two local towns with shopping facilities less than 5 mi away.

We are a supportive and dedicated team of 6 vets, 5 nurses and an excellent management and administrative team. Within our team, we have one vet studying for an SA certificate in Internal Medicine, and one vet studying for a farm certificate in Cattle Health. Most of our staff have been with Glenshane for over 5 years and we hold yearly staff activities to keep teamwork at a high standard.

Practice facilities and equipment include easyscan, a cattle crush for feet pairing and extra‑lap/caesarean, Ovocyte, small‑ruminant operation table, horse stock, electro‑ejaculator for large animals, IDXX lab station, microscope, digital X‑ray, SA ultrasound, SA endoscope, SA hospitalisation facilities, Merlin PMS, dentistry machine, specific surgery kits and so much more.

Enjoy a welcoming environment with structured support and flexibility to suit your lifestyle.

You will work 40 hours per week, 9 am–6 pm for four days a week and one day 9 am–1 pm. There will be one on‑call night per week and one on‑call weekend in a four‑week cycle.

You will be supported by a dedicated Clinical Coach.
