Job summary

Protocol Education is recruiting ambitious Graduate Teaching Assistants to support students in a successful secondary school in North Tyneside.

This role offers valuable classroom experience for graduates aiming for careers in Teaching, Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Youth Justice, Counselling, Speech & Language Therapy or SEND Support, with PAYE daily rates of £92.63–£108.00 and a September start.

Qualifications

• Graduate with degree in any subject.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive, resilient and proactive attitude.
• Ability to build professional relationships quickly.
• Experience with young people desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support students on a one-to-one and small-group basis.
• Help pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
• Work closely with teaching staff to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Support students with SEND, ASC, ADHD and SEMH needs.
• Promote positive behaviour, engagement and attendance.
• Gain valuable experience of classroom practice, safeguarding and behaviour management.
