Job summary

Protocol Education is recruiting ambitious Graduate Teaching Assistants to support students in a successful secondary school in North Tyneside.

This is an outstanding opportunity to develop valuable classroom experience while preparing for careers in teaching, educational psychology, social work and related fields.

Qualifications

  • A graduate with a degree in any subject.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Volunteering, tutoring or youth work experience is welcome.
  • Willingness to support students with SEND and SEMH.

Responsibilities

  • Support students on a one-to-one and small-group basis.
  • Help pupils overcome barriers to learning.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Support students with SEND, Autism (ASC), ADHD and SEMH needs.
  • Promote positive behaviour, engagement and attendance.
  • Build strong relationships that support students' confidence and wellbeing.
  • Provide academic, pastoral and emotional support where required.
  • Gain valuable experience of classroom practice, safeguarding and behaviour management.

Protocol Education is recruiting ambitious and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistants to support students in a successful secondary school in North Tyneside.
