This role is ideal for graduates who want to gain hands-on experience in a school environment while developing valuable skills that can support a future career in teaching, SEN, psychology, social care or youth work.

The Role

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in helping students get the most from their education. You could be supporting pupils within lessons, working with small groups or providing individual support.

You will:

  • Support students with their learning and development
  • Provide one-to-one and small-group assistance
  • Work with students with SEND and additional needs
  • Help create a positive and engaging classroom environment
  • Encourage students to develop confidence and independence
  • Assist teachers with classroom activities and preparation
  • Provide pastoral support where required
  • Help students overcome barriers to learning
