Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd. is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant for a secondary school in North Tyneside. You will support students with SEND on a one-to-one and small-group basis, helping them access learning and build confidence.

The role offers a £92.63–£115.00 per day PAYE rate, full-time start in September, and long-term opportunities with weekly pay and ongoing training and support from a dedicated consultant.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• A patient, empathetic and resilient approach.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A genuine passion for inclusive education.
• Previous SEND experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support students with SEND on a one-to-one and small-group basis.
• Assist pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, Dyslexia and other additional needs.
• Adapt learning activities to support student progress.
• Encourage independence, confidence and engagement.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Work closely with teachers, SENDCOs and pastoral staff.
• Create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
