Job summary

KPI Education is partnering with an ambitious secondary school in Brentford, Hounslow, to recruit a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the 2026/27 academic year. You’ll spend the year supporting pupils academically and gradually developing the confidence, classroom presence and practical skills needed to decide whether teaching is the career for you.

You’ll work alongside experienced teachers, gain genuine experience before training and build foundations for a potential route into teacher training

Qualifications

• Graduate with a 2:1 or first-class degree in a relevant subject.
• Strong academic background and a passion for teaching.
• Willingness to develop classroom skills and pursue PGCE training.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils academically across KS3, KS4 and potentially KS5.
• Deliver targeted 1:1 tuition and small-group interventions.
• Create resources and monitor pupil progress.
• Develop classroom presence and communication skills while working with experienced teachers.
