Sprint Education Recruitment is seeking graduates for long-term Graduate Teaching Assistant roles in Leicester, supporting students with SEN in mainstream and specialist settings.
We place graduates into 1:1 or small-group support, requiring a psychology or related degree and a calm, patient approach. Right to work in the UK is required. Weekly PAYE pay and training in SEN are offered as part of long-term placements.
A psychology degree gives you the theory on attachment, development and behaviour. What it doesn't give you is any sense of what those things look like at half past nine on a Tuesday, in a real classroom, with a real student. Working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant is where that gap closes.
Sprint Education Recruitment places graduates into long-term teaching assistant roles across Leicester, supporting students with SEN and complex needs in mainstream and specialist settings, including primary, secondary and alternative provision. If you're after a long-term placement rather than day-to-day cover, we'd like to hear from you.
We work across Leicester and the surrounding towns, so whether you're in the city, Loughborough, Hinckley or Wigston, it's worth showing your interest.
Weekly PAYE pay. A consultant who'll describe a setting honestly before you go there. Training in SEN and behaviour support as you build experience. Long-term placements, because most of what you'll learn only becomes visible over weeks. A good number of the graduates we place go on to permanent placements, teacher training, educational psychology or therapy routes.
If you're looking to work as a teacher in a mainstream classroom, providing day-to-day supply cover, we're probably not the agency for you. But if you're passionate about supporting students with additional needs and want a long-term role as an SEN Teaching Assistant, where you can build consistency and see the impact of your work every day, that's exactly what we do.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is previous experience working in a school setting.
Sprint Education Recruitment is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. We take our responsibilities extremely seriously. All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
Sprint Education Recruitment is a market leading education recruitment and supply agency committed to the learning and development of young people. Specialists in SEND support for mainstream and SEN schools.
