Job summary

Sprint Education Recruitment is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to support students with SEN and complex needs across Leicester in mainstream and specialist settings. A psychology degree helps you understand attachment, development and behaviour, but this role puts those concepts into classroom practice through everyday support.

You'll work 1:1 or in small groups, adapt tasks with staff strategies, and help students stay engaged across the day.

Qualifications

• Graduates in Psychology or similar are suitable
• Experience around children or young people is beneficial
• Clear communication and ability to ask when unsure

Responsibilities

• Supports students 1:1 or in small groups so they can participate in lessons
• Applies strategies set by teaching staff and SENCO
• Adjusts presentation of tasks without changing learning goals
• Watches closely and reports what helps or hinders
• Supports students during arrivals and transitions
• Learns from experienced staff and specialists
