Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd in Edinburgh is seeking a Graduate Structural Engineer to develop towards Chartership while joining a consultancy offering long-term progression towards Partner. You will gain hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle and receive ICE/IStructE accreditation support.

You’ll contribute to structural design across residential housing, industrial, commercial and retail projects, with site visits and client meetings, as the team grows in Edinburgh.

Qualifications

• Degree level in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Graduate member of ICE / IStructE or working towards.
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Structural design calculations across steel, concrete, masonry and timber.
• Assist with drawings and technical documentation (AutoCAD beneficial).
• Client, design and site meetings plus site inspections.
• Work across residential, industrial, commercial and retail projects.
• Edinburgh-based role with site visits; driving licence preferred.

Edinburgh (Commutable from: Livingston, Bathgate, Linlithgow, Dunfermline, Falkirk, Dalkeith, Musselburgh, Kirkcaldy)

Are you a Graduate Structural Engineer or Structural Design Engineer looking to build towards Chartership, while joining a consultancy that can offer genuine long-term progression (including a route to Partner) as you develop technically and take on more responsibility?

On offer is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established engineering consultancy, where you'll gain hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle and receive support toward ICE / IStructE professional accreditation, alongside clear progression opportunities as the business continues to grow.

You’ll be working within a structural engineering team delivering work across residential housing developments, industrial projects and commercial / retail sites. As a result of continued project demand, they are looking to add to their design team in their Edinburgh office.

In this role you will produce structural design calculations across steel, concrete, masonry and timber structures, assist with drawings and documentation, attend client/design/site meetings, liase with local authorities and carry out site inspections.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate / Structural Engineer looking for long-term development, varied projects and a clear progression path within a consultancy environment.
