Your role:

Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Civil or Structural Engineering graduate looking to make a real impact on vital infrastructure projects? We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Structural Engineer to join our dynamic water team in High Wycombe, as part of our 2026 graduate programme.

You'll be working closely with our experienced team, contributing to the full lifecycle of structural design in concrete, steel, and masonry structures. Your day-to-day responsibilities could include:

  • Developing conceptual, preliminary, and detailed structural designs for a variety of water and energy-related infrastructure, such as pumping stations, water treatment works, reservoirs, flood defence schemes, and related buildings.
  • Conducting structural inspections and investigations of existing assets, assessing their condition and integrity.
  • Producing concise and clear reports for asset maintenance, modification, and new build projects.
  • Making calculations about loads and stresses using advanced mathematical and computer modelling software.
  • Selecting appropriate construction materials with a focus on safety, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Liaising with multi-disciplinary teams, including Mechanical, Electrical, and Geotechnical engineers, to enable collaborative design-building across complex projects.
  • Assisting with the preparation of drawings and specifications.
  • Gaining exposure to project, commercial, and client management.
