Axcis Education is recruiting Graduate Teaching Assistants to work within a supportive educational setting in Birmingham. This full-time opportunity is ideal for graduates considering careers in teaching or other child-focused professions. Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm.

Pay Rate: £14.25 per hour. As a Teaching Assistant, you will support students 1:1 and in small groups, helping them engage with learning, build confidence, and reach their potential, working closely with teaching staff

Qualifications

• A degree in any subject.
• Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults through employment, placements, volunteering, tutoring, coaching, or mentoring.
• Experience with supporting Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, proactive, and resilient approach.
• A genuine interest in education and supporting young people.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Full-time availability.

Responsibilities

• Supporting students in the classroom on a 1:1 and small group basis.
• Assisting with learning activities and lesson engagement.
• Promoting positive behaviour, independence, and confidence.
• Building positive relationships with students and staff.
• Supporting social, emotional, and academic development.
• Adapting your approach to meet individual learning needs.
• Following safeguarding policies and school procedures.
