Job summary

Axcis Education in Birmingham is recruiting a Classroom Assistant to join a specialist SEND school. You will support children and young people with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and learning disabilities, helping them engage in learning and achieve their individual goals in a safe environment.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm

Pay Rate: £14.25 per hour

Axcis Education is recruiting for a Classroom Assistant to join a specialist SEND school in Birmingham. This rewarding role involves supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and learning disabilities. Working closely with teachers and support staff, you will help pupils engage in learning, develop confidence, and achieve their individual goals within a safe and nurturing environment.

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND.
• Support learning activities tailored to individual needs.

Requirements

• Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable individuals.
• A patient, adaptable, and caring approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience supporting SEND is desirable.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Full-time availability.
• You must be suitably qualified for the position advertised and be prepared to attend a face to face interview with Axcis to demonstrate your suitability for this role.

Salary / Pay Rate will be dependent on your skills and experience.
