Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is launching its 2027 Early Careers Graduate Planner programme in Aberdeen. You will join a Power T&D team, gain hands-on experience, take on real responsibilities from day one, and develop technical and professional skills with support from experienced colleagues.

You will work on planning, project controls, forecasting, and reporting while building professional accreditations and a strong network within a leading infrastructure group.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 2:2 honours degree by the start date.
• Willingness to travel to various locations; may stay away from home; full UK driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day planning function across projects, ensuring programmes are accurate and aligned with delivery requirements.
• Develop, maintain, and update short- and long-term project programmes reflecting progress and changes.
• Manage and update project and contractual programmes in line with reporting requirements and project objectives.
• Monitor progress, analyse programme performance and identify variances, risks, and opportunities.
• Assist in collecting, analysing, and presenting progress and performance data for decision-making.
• Apply planning techniques including sequencing, logic development, critical path analysis, resource planning, and forecasting.

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
