Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is offering a Graduate Workforce Planner role as part of our 2027 Early Careers programme in Derby. You will work with experienced workforce planners and HR teams to analyse data, forecast staffing needs, and contribute to recruitment and capacity planning while building analytical and commercial skills through training.

Qualifications

• We value potential over past experience and require a 2:2 honours degree in HR, Business or similar.
• Willingness to learn and develop practical workforce planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyse workforce data (headcount, turnover, vacancies, absence, productivity) and forecast staffing requirements.
• Develop workforce plans aligning capacity and skills with organisational needs.
• Create reports, dashboards and workforce insights for managers and senior stakeholders.
• Support recruitment planning and identify future hiring requirements and gaps.
• Collaborate with HR, finance, recruitment and operations to deliver effective plans.
