Job summary

Arup in the UK is recruiting graduates into the Mechanical Infrastructure team to design and deliver MEICA elements for water and wastewater projects. You will learn from experts while pursuing formal training and a professional qualification with the IMechE.

Typical duties include designs and calculations, technical reports, 3D modelling, equipment specification, site visits and a range of project meetings. We support diverse teams and flexible working where possible.

Qualifications

• Masters level degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or related subject with minimum 2:1.
• Genuine interest in solving problems that affect the way we live.
• Keen to deliver mechanical designs for infrastructure and industrial installations as part of multidisciplinary teams.
• Degree accreditation by the IMechE is preferred; other institutions would be considered.

Responsibilities

• Designs and calculations of mechanical systems and components.
• Prepare technical reports and build 3D models.
• Specify mechanical equipment and oversee site visits.
• Participate in project meetings and workshops.
