Arup is offering an Industrial Placement for an Infrastructure Mechanical Engineer in Energy, Water & Resources based in Cardiff. You will work on real projects from day one, designing mechanical elements for water facilities and pumping stations, while learning from senior professionals and building your network for graduation.

The role expands into energy-related areas such as renewables and decarbonisation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Interest in solving problems that affect everyday life.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver mechanical elements of water and wastewater treatment and pumping projects.
• Support frameworks and projects for clients such as Welsh Water, Wessex Water, United Utilities and Severn Trent.
• Collaborate with Electrical and ICA engineers to deliver MEICA solutions.
• Provide design leadership, technical assurance, equipment specification, and multidisciplinary coordination.
