Job summary

Arup is seeking Graduate Building Services Engineers to join multi-disciplinary design teams in the UK, starting with a focus on HVAC and low carbon design. You will work on commercial, residential, healthcare, laboratories, and transport projects, applying advanced tools and sustainable design thinking from day one.

You’ll develop skills through hands-on design, 3D modelling in Revit, and decarbonisation strategies while supported by a broad expert community and Early Careers team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical, Architectural, or Building Services Engineering or a strong related Bachelor’s with accreditation.
• Studying or completed accreditation with IMechE, CIBSE or Engineering Council.
• Recent graduate with up to 12 months of full-time experience in a comparable role.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical design concepts focused on low energy and low carbon building design.
• Complete HVAC system design and 3D modelling using Revit for system layouts.
• Analyse and optimise solutions with software and digital tools.
• Conduct thermal and Building Regulation modelling with IESVE or similar.
• Prepare mark-ups, reports and site visits to progress holistic designs.
• Contribute to decarbonisation strategies for operational and embodied carbon.
• Prepare presentations and input to project reports.
