Job summary

Arup is seeking graduates to join its Mechanical Building Services teams in the UK to help design low-energy HVAC systems for a variety of buildings. From day one you will work within multidisciplinary teams, supported toward a professional qualification and career development.

We look for a Masters in Mechanical/Building Services Engineering (or strong Bachelors) and accreditation from IMechE/CIBSE. The role includes site visits and exposure to cutting-edge decarbonisation strategies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical, Architectural, or Building Services Engineering; strong Bachelor's considered.
• Studying an IMechE, CIBSE or Engineering Council accredited course.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of mechanical design concepts focusing on low energy and low carbon design.
• Complete the design of HVAC systems for buildings.
• Use software and digital tools to analyse and optimise solutions.
• Use Revit to develop system designs.
• Undertake thermal and Building Regulation modelling with IESVE or similar.
• Prepare reports and inputs to decarbonisation strategies.
