Job summary

Arup is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join its UK design teams. You will contribute to low-energy, low-carbon concepts and HVAC system design from day one, using Revit and IESVE to model and analyse systems.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical, Architectural, or Building Services Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Accredited course by IMechE, CIBSE or Engineering Council.
• Full working rights in the UK.
• No more than 12 months of full-time experience in a comparable role.
• Recently graduated or on track to graduate before employment starts.

Responsibilities

• Support development of mechanical design concepts focused on low energy and low carbon design.
• Design Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems.
• Use software and digital tools to analyze and optimize solutions.
• Develop system designs with Revit 3D modelling.
• Perform thermal and Building Regulation compliance modelling with IESVE or similar.
• Prepare mark-ups and collaborate with the team to progress holistic designs.
• Contribute to decarbonisation strategies for operation and embodied carbon.
• Conduct site visits and prepare reports and site records.
• Evaluate new technologies for sustainable, robust project designs.
