Job summary

Veritas Education Recruitment is seeking a motivated GRADUATE LEARNING ASSISTANT for a mainstream secondary school in Harrow, North West London, starting October 2026. You will support children on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, helping them progress towards GCSE level.

The role pays 95 to 110 per day and requires a degree (preferred), experience with children, and an understanding of special needs.

Qualifications

• Degree is preferred, in mainstream curriculum subjects are also preferred (English, Maths, Science, French, History, and others)
• Experience working with children is required
• Understanding of special needs or learning difficulties
• Contribute an enthusiastic and creative approach to learning
• High levels of professionalism

Responsibilities

• You will be working alongside the teachers and other teaching assistants to support children in their attainment and progress
• You will need to support children's learning up to GCSE level, be adaptable accordingly to the needs of the individual children, and make observations and carry out sessions instructed by the teacher to improve progress
