Job summary

Hoare Lea in Glasgow is seeking a 2027 Graduate Fire Engineer to learn across our fire engineering projects within a leading building services consultancy. You will work on live schemes across healthcare, hotels, retail and residential, developing designs using CAD and Revit, while pursuing Chartered Engineer status with strong mentoring and training.

Qualifications

• 2.2 or above in an Engineering Council accredited degree, preferably Fire Safety Engineering or related discipline.
• Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
• Friendly, ambitious and confident individual with a flexible and resilient approach.

Responsibilities

• Work on live projects from day one across healthcare, hotels, retail and residential.
• Produce detailed designs and drawings using CAD and Revit.
• Undertake calculations for smoke and temperature spread and CFD simulations.
• Review building designs for life-safety compliance and advise on fire strategies.
• Undertake site surveys and research new technologies.
• Benefit from CPD and mentoring toward Chartership.
