Job summary

Hoare Lea in Glasgow is seeking a 2027 Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join a leading building engineering practice. You will be exposed to a breadth of projects across healthcare, hotels, retail and residential, gaining hands-on experience from day one.

You will work with expert teams, producing detailed designs and drawings, using CAD and Revit, and benefiting from a structured development pathway and mentor support toward Chartered status.

Qualifications

• Expect or have a 2.1+ IMechE- or CIBSE-accredited Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
• Friendly, ambitious and confident with a flexible and resilient approach.

Responsibilities

• Assist in producing detailed designs and drawings for Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and control systems.
• Work on above and below ground drainage systems and hot and cold-water services to standard, budget and deadline.
• Use CAD and Revit software for modelling and documentation.
• Engage in continuous CPD and learning opportunities.
