Job summary

Arup is seeking a Graduate Fire Engineer in Glasgow to contribute to fire safety strategies across diverse projects. You will work with the engineering design team, gaining hands-on experience from day one and supporting the pursuit of a professional fire engineering qualification.

The role offers opportunities to liaise with external designers, visit sites, and participate in research to advance fire safety solutions while using in-house digital tools and software.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Fire Engineering or related field.
Full working rights in the country of application.
No more than 12 months of full-time experience in a comparable role.

Responsibilities

Prepare fire strategies in coordination with the engineering design team.
Inspect and assess fire safety management and protection measures in existing buildings/facilities.
Liaise with external designers and construction professionals on projects.
Develop experience with fire-specific design software and conduct related research.
Visit sites to monitor implementation of fire strategies and learn about installation of fire safety systems.
