Role Overview

As an Electrical Water Engineer, you will support clients by designing and specifying the equipment and infrastructure required to power and control pumping and treatment systems. You will work closely with mechanical engineers and other design disciplines to ensure all design elements interface correctly.

Responsibilities
  • Produce cable calculations, schedules, and circuit schedules.
  • Design lighting systems and prepare lighting schedules.
  • Develop MCC/control panel details, including ICA information.
  • Create electrical specification documents.
  • Utilize Amtech, Dialux, and Lighting Reality software design programs.
  • Liaise with internal and external design teams, clients, and contractors.
  • Provide timely reporting to both the client and internal team lead.
Qualifications
  • MEng in Electrical Engineering (2:1 or above preferred).
  • Relevant work experience (advantage).
  • Enthusiastic, hard‑working, technically proficient with ambition and drive.
  • Basic computer skills (Word/Excel) and good report writing skills.
  • Water‑related modules an advantage.
  • Willing to work toward professional qualifications such as IET & IMechE.
  • Demonstrable interest in water projects.
  • Client and business expectations aligned with financial and commercial implications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication with internal and external clients.
  • Structured and prioritized work through close cooperation with the team.
  • Independent work capability without losing initiative and focus.
