Job summary

Arup, a global engineering consultancy, invites graduates to join in Newcastle as Graduate Infrastructure Electrical Engineers. You will contribute to electrical design across water, energy, power and industrial infrastructure, learning from seasoned engineers and progressing toward professional accreditation.

The role spans electrical calculations, equipment selection, specifications, BIM and digital modelling, with opportunities to work across diverse industries and with leading clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (2.1+).
• Master's or integrated MEng in Electrical Engineering preferred (2:1+).
• IET accreditation or equivalent recognized by IET is desirable.
• Good understanding of CAD and BIM; experience with design projects is beneficial.
• Willingness to learn new engineering software and coding languages.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical calculations and equipment selections.
• Prepare specifications and designs and contribute to BIM/digital modelling.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and produce technical reports.
• Support site activities and gain professional accreditation through the process.
