Bridges Electrical Engineering is seeking a Graduate Electrical Design Engineer to join our Design team. You will gain structured training, mentoring and supervised project experience across the water and wastewater sector, progressing toward professional registration while delivering safe, compliant engineering solutions.

You will work with experienced engineers from initial design through to commissioning, collaborate with CAD technicians and multi-disciplinary teams, and grow toward ownership

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in electrical engineering and commitment to a career in electrical design.
• Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles and distribution, control and automation.
• Awareness of engineering drawings, technical specifications and design documentation.
• Good numeracy, analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; effective communication skills.
• Ability to work with colleagues across disciplines; strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and progress toward professional registration.
• Willingness to travel to client locations and operate in industrial environments.

Responsabilités

• Review project scopes, specifications, quotations and survey information with guidance from experienced engineers.
• Assist in identifying missing information, risks and deviations from client requirements.
• Support RFIs, design registers, deliverable schedules and technical queries.
• Plan and manage tasks with deadlines and estimated hours.
• Communicate progress and technical issues promptly to the design team.
• Attend project meetings, design reviews and site visits as required.
• Assist with RAMS and site planning in accordance with procedures.
• Maintain accurate project records and understand budgets and changes.
