Job summary

Bridges seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with a water and wastewater background to lead the design and delivery of complex infrastructure projects across England and Wales. The role offers hybrid working with 3 days in the office and 2 days at home, with office options in Bath, Newport, and Swansea.

You will mentor junior staff, develop mechanical designs, coordinate multi-discipline interfaces, and support project delivery from concept through construction.

Qualifications

• Experience in senior mechanical design within water/wastewater projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (HNC/HND).
• Experience in mechanical systems design, site GA design (2D/3D), and design coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Oversee concept to detailed design and construction support.
• Develop detailed specifications for equipment, systems and interfaces.
