Job summary

Graduate Civil Engineer position at Amey in Trafford, Manchester. Starting salary £31,000. 40-hour week, September 2027 start date and a pathway into infrastructure projects with National Highways and Network Rail.

You will join the Highways & Transportation Practice, supporting a team to deliver schemes for national and local highways, contributing to asset management strategies and lifecycle planning while developing practical engineering skills from day one.

Qualifications

• Civil/ Structural Engineering Degree at Grade 2:1 or above.
• Full UK driving license.
• Enthusiastic, willing to learn and a positive team player.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/ contribute to technical reports, design proposals, and client presentations.
• Support the delivery of engineering projects for national and local highways.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, geotechnical, environmental, and transport engineers.
• Develop innovative solutions and designs that comply with industry standards.
• Deliver robust designs enabling safe and efficient asset management.
