Job summary

Amey Ltd in Gloucester is recruiting a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our Highways & Transportation Practice. You will support a team of engineers on schemes for national and local highways, developing practical design solutions and gaining hands-on experience from day one.

Starting salary is £31,000 with a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, and start date in September 2027. The role offers structured development, mentoring and exposure to major infrastructure projects across the UK.

Qualifications

• Civil/ Structural Engineering Degree at Grade 2:1 or above
• A Full UK driving Licence

Responsibilities

• Prepare/ Contribute to technical reports, design proposals, and client presentations;
• Support the delivery of engineering projects for national and local highways;
• Contribute to asset management strategies and lifecycle planning;
• Use industry-standard software and tools to model and analyse options/performance;
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, geotechnical, environmental, and transport engineers;
• Develop innovative solutions and designs that comply with industry standards and guidelines;
• Deliver robust designs to enable clients to continue the safe, efficient, and optimal management of their assets.

Education
