Job summary

Amey Ltd in Manchester is offering a Graduate Civil / Structural Engineer role within Buildings and Estates. Starting salary is £31,000 with 40 hours per week on site and a September 2027 start date.

You will contribute to the delivery and maintenance of infrastructure, gaining hands-on experience on projects across the UK. As part of the Building Structures team, you’ll inspect bridges, develop design solutions, produce drawings and perform structural calculations using Excel and Tekla tools.

Qualifications

• Civil/Structural Engineering degree at 2:1 or above.
• Full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Plan and undertake bridge inspections and assess structural details.
• Develop practical design solutions and produce accurate drawings and reports.
• Undertake numerical analysis to determine load carrying capacity and suggest strengthening options.
• Deliver robust structural assessments to support safe asset management.
• Communicate findings effectively through reports and meetings.
