Job summary

Amey Ltd in Stafford is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our Highways & Transportation Practice. Starting salary £31,000, 40 hours per week, and a September 2027 start date.

You will support a team of engineers on a portfolio of highway schemes, delivering robust designs and value for clients. As a graduate you will access structured development and mentoring, work with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to asset management strategies while learning industry standards and software

Qualifications

• Civil/ Structural Engineering Degree at Grade 2:1 or above.
• Full UK driving license.
• No years of experience required; graduates welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/Contribute to technical reports, design proposals, and client presentations.
• Support the delivery of engineering projects for national and local highways.
• Contribute to asset management strategies and lifecycle planning.
• Use industry-standard software and tools to model and analyse options/performance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, geotechnical, environmental, and transport engineers.
• Develop innovative solutions and designs that comply with industry standards and guidelines.
• Deliver robust designs to enable safe, efficient management of assets.
